We are excited to announce a major upgrade to our DNS infrastructure with the official launch of the new Sitelutions DNS V2 platform. This upgrade provides significant improvements in performance, reliability, and most importantly, your account security.
A primary driver for this migration was to address a critical security risk in our legacy V1 API. The old system required using your main account password for API authentication, which is an outdated and insecure practice. This exposed your primary account credentials to potential risk if used in scripts or third-party applications.
We are pleased to announce that this security risk has now been eliminated.
The new DNS V2 API exclusively uses secure, user-generated API Keys for authentication. You can now create, manage, and revoke multiple API keys directly from your DNS Management page in the client area.
If you are currently using our legacy API (api.sitelutions.com), you must update your applications to continue service. The legacy API will be phased out.
- New Endpoint: Please update your code to use the new V2 WSDL endpoint:
https://api2.sitelutions.com/soap-api - New Authentication: You must replace your account password with a new API Key in your scripts. You can generate keys from the "API Keys" section of the V2 DNS Management page.
